Veneration of the Relic of St. Carlo Acutis
Catholics of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati and surrounding tri-state area will be able to venerate a first-class relic of Saint Carlo Acutis, an Italian teenager canonized as the first millenial saint by Pope Leo XIV in 2025. Veneration of his relic will take place here at the Cathedral Basilica from February 10 – 12.
He famously said, “To always be united with Jesus, this is my life plan” and described the Eucharist as his “highway to heaven.” Before his death, he offered his suffering for the Pope and the Church.
Known as “God’s Influencer,” he is celebrated for using his computer programming skills to document Eucharistic miracles and for his deep devotion to the Catholic faith. He died of acute leukemia at age 15 in Monza, Italy.
