The Cathedral Basilica is an iconic landmark in our city and is a testament to the enduring faith of Catholics of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. However, nearly 70 years have passed since the last renovation.
It is in urgent need of repair and restoration efforts, both to preserve the Cathedral’s beauty and ensure it remains the principal sacred space for the spiritual nourishment of current and future generations of Catholics in our archdiocese.
As stewards of the Cathedral, we believe God is calling us to invest in our vision for the future now, to restore this sacred space and ensure that it is safe and accessible to all. Our hope is for a vibrant and welcoming environment for all in our archdiocesan community.

The cathedral basilica offers the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA) program of classes and discussion sessions for those who wish to become Catholic or for those who simply want to learn more about our faith.

Sung Vespers for All Souls’ Day (Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed) will be held Sunday evening, November 1 at 7:30 PM. Music for the service will be sung by the Cincinnati Archdiocesan Choir. The service is free and open to all.
Tours at St. Peter in Chains
The next monthly tour will be held on Sunday, November 8 following the 10:00am Mass. The guided tour is free and focuses on the historical, architectural, artistic, scriptural, ecclesial, and theological aspects of the church and support structures.
