Easter Vigil

On Holy Saturday, the Easter Vigil in the Holy Night will be celebrated at 8:45 p.m. by The Most Reverend Robert Casey, the Archbishop of Cincinnati.

On this night the Church assembles to spend much time listening to Scripture, praying psalms, acclaiming the death and resurrection of the Lord. Catechumens are called forth and prayed over, led to the font and baptized in the blessed water. The newly baptized are anointed with chrism and the entire assembly joins in intercession and finally the Eucharist.
