DESCRIPTION:The Patronal Feast of St. Peter in Chains will be celebrated at the Cathedral Basilica on Sunday, August 2nd (transferred from Aug. 1) at all the Sunday Masses.\nTo obtain a Plenary Indulgence\nThe faithful who devoutly visit the Cathedral Basilica on Saturday, August 1 (on the day of the liturgical celebration of the title “basilica”) or Sunday, August 2, and while there participate in any sacred rite or at least recite the Lord’s Prayer and the Profession of Faith may obtain a plenary indulgence under the usual conditions: sacramental confession within two weeks of visiting, Eucharistic Communion, and prayer for the intention of the Holy Father:\n\non the anniversary of the dedication of the same basilica (November 3)\non the day of the liturgical celebration of the title (August 1)\non the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Apostles (June 29)\non the anniversary of the granting of the title of basilica (June 29)\nonce a year on a day to be determined by the local Ordinary (January 24)\nonce a year on a day freely chosen by the each of the faithful\n\n
